New GIATA and BeCause Partnership Makes It Easier for Travel Companies to Promote Sustainable Stays
Berlin, 27 March 2025 - GIATA, the global leader in hotel content and distribution, is joining partner forces with BeCause, the leading sustainability data hub for travel, tourism and hospitality, to integrate verified hotel certification data into GIATA’s platform. This partnership will provide travel agencies, booking platforms, tour operators, and OTAs with seamless, real-time access to reliable eco-certification information, helping them meet the growing demand for sustainable travel.
The BeCause sustainability data hub is the world’s largest of its kind, with verified certification data on more than 50,000 hotels globally. By combining BeCause’s database of more than 80 eco-certifiers - including leading eco-labels such as Green Key, GreenSign, EarthCheck, and Green Globe - with GIATA’s global hotel directory, this collaboration empowers travel businesses to offer transparent sustainability information to their customers.
Through this integration, GIATA’s clients can now request access to BeCause’s certification data and seamlessly incorporate sustainability insights into their existing workflows. This streamlines the process for travel companies, making it easier to promote eco-certified accommodations without additional data management complexities.
